I couldn’t be more thrilled to launch our blog with this very first post! I wish for By Nami to be this community where every petite woman is celebrated and empowered. So, grab a cup of your favourite drink, get comfy, and let’s dive into this special debut post!
And what could you want than for our very first blog post than an amazing haul from one of our favourite brands, House of CB!
First Outfit
Name – Pierette – Berry Lace Midi Dress
Size – XS
Link – https://app.houseofcb.com/pierette-berry-lace-midi-dress
Nami’s comments
Pros – Fits a petite frame well, cutout is deeper than on website but still acceptable, stretchy fabric so very comfortable, lined with a nude mesh which has a brown undertone so suitable for a wider range of skin tones, slit allows comfort when walking
Cons – None for myself, this is my favourite dress of the haul. If you are after a midi dress, as a petite it fits more like a maxi so bear that in mind.Â
Second Outfit
Name – Bunny- Holly Red Crepe Mini Dress
Size – Regular cup A-C , Size XS
Link – https://app.houseofcb.com/bunny-holly-red-crepe-mini-dress
Nami’s comments
Pros – Lovely colour, corset shapes torso well.
Cons – For a petite frame, I found this dress quite long. The skirt is very structured and flared which can look frumpy on a petite frame, particularly when it hits just above the knee thereby shortening the leg length. The straps are not adjustable and at times slid off my shoulder.
Third Outfit
Name – Lisette – Black lace corset top with bolero
Size – Regular cup A-C , Size XS
Link – https://app.houseofcb.com/lisette-black-lace-corset-top-with-bolero
Nami’s commentsÂ
Pros – Lovely fit, corset is supportive but not too tight. Adjustable straps which mean you can fit it to your desired length. Bolero has a tie which again is adjustable to your desired closure. Good length for petite torso. Lined with a nude mesh which has a brown undertone so suitable for a wider range of skin tones.
Cons – Bolero sleeves are long
Fourth Outfit
Name – Hallie – Holly Red Strapless Corset Top With Detachable Neck ScarfÂ
Size – Regular cup A-C , Size XS
Link –Â https://app.houseofcb.com/hallie-holly-red-strapless-corset-top-with-detachable-neck-scarf
Nami’s commentsÂ
Pros – Lovely colour, matching scarf is the perfect widthÂ
Cons – Despite getting a regular cup and XS for the previous corset, this was extremely tight and almost impossible to put on. I had to have help, but even so was extremely difficult. Hard to breathe, felt like I was spilling out and was overall not impressed with the fit. Matching scarf is very long and was almost draping on the floor.
And that’s a wrap for our very first blog post! I am so excited to kick off this journey with you and can’t wait to bring you more tips, inspiration, and ideas that celebrate your unique style and story.
